The East County Fire Support Services Division began with a regional shop based out of Monroe, WA. This program developed in 1996 and has experienced tremendous growth over the years.
The program currently employs one (1) Shop Operations Manager, one (1) Assistant Shop Foreman, six (6) Journeyman Mechanics, one (1) Mechanic Apprentice, one (1) Administrative Secretary, and one (1) part time Administrative Specialist. These employees in the program maintain over four hundred and fifty (450) vehicles for various government agencies.
One of the accomplishments of the regional mechanical services division has been gradually eliminating subletting through targeted hiring practices as the program expanded and developed.
You will notice that most of our mechanics have their masters in both Ambulance and Fire Apparatus. The mechanics are always striving to obtain and maintain their Master Certifications with each exam expiring after a few years.
